If you are interested in urban planning and the city of tomorrow you should visit
the ‘International Building Exhibition Urban Redevelopment 2010’ in the Bauhaus in Dessau. "What does a city that in 2010 no longer has a population of 100,00 but maybe 65,000 and in 2015 only 52,000 look like? What does a city that in the space of only 25 years shrinks to approximately half its size look like?"
The exhibition shows exemplary and innovative urban redevelopment tools put to the test in 19 cities in the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt, which are affected by demographic change. You can also take a 7 km long cycling and walking tour along recent projects of urban redevelopment in Dessau.

If you are in Antwerp visit 'the Kanaal’, a warehouse complex owned by Axel Vervoordt, Belgians most successful antiques dealer. Vervoordt turned a circa -1860 former malting complex into a showcase for his private collection of ancient and contemporary art and furniture. You will also find an enormous red dome in a circular room; the permanent installation ‘At the edge of the world’ by sculptor Anish Kapoor.
from the press: "“Step through the door and you find yourself in a hushed, dimly lit circular room with low white walls and a burgundy-red dome that seems to weigh you down with the intensity of it’s color. Speak, and your voice slims to a whisper or suddenly raises, the volume out of control; walk and you will be overcome by a disorientating sense of dizziness.”
